Although we can’t be 100% sure, it is estimated that females lay 400 to 600 eggs. That is a lot!

How many eyes do cicadas have?
Cicadas are known and recognized by their two larger red eyes. But, cicadas have 3 more smaller eyes. Some cicadas even have blue eyes!
Do cicadas bite humans?
Cicadas are not a threat to humans. But, the sheer number of them that converge at one time can be scary.
