Tips to keep mosquitoes away:
Summer time is one of the best times of the year because you get the chance to do awesome outdoor activities. However, mosquitoes are one aspect of the summer that can bother you while you are enjoying the summer weather. There are a lot of different methods that you can use to keep mosquitoes away. Here are some tips to keep mosquitoes away while you enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
Keep mosquitoes away from you:
- Do not wear perfume because mosquitoes are attracted to sweet-smelling aromas.
- Wear loose-fitting long sleeve shirts and long pants if you are spending time outside during the evening hours, because you create a barrier between you and them.
- Use DEET (diethyltoluamide) bug spray if there seem to be a large amount of mosquitoes bothering you. Use a more natural bug repellent if there aren’t as many around.
Keep mosquitoes away from your location:
- Use citronella candles around your yard or campsite to keep mosquitoes away. While many might say that these don’y repel bugs successfully, the candles are a classic way to repel mosquitoes.
- Put lighting further away from your location because bugs are attracted to light and will come after you if you are close to it. You can light a campfire to repel mosquitoes because they are not big fans of them.
- Trim the grass and bushes in your yard because mosquitoes love to spend time in tall grass during hot days. They will love it when you decide to venture into your overgrown yard.
